Home lighting plan have difficult-easy. Easy, if we follow the motto “light source”, no matter how inadequate or have not been that light to illuminate our activities. Difficult, because there was activity at home is very diverse, and each requires a different type of light.
If proper planning, the light that comes out will be optimized, and ultimately could make us comfortable. But instead, the light that is not appropriate to make our eyes get tired. Well, so the light in the house to be optimal and in accordance with the needs, the following 6 tricks that can be done.
1. Fulfill the needs of the most important light
Illumination of the most fundamental and absolute in every room known as the general lighting or general illumination. Lighting should illuminate the whole space evenly, because its function is to provide light so that residents can do their activities. This lighting will not have too bright, but enough so that the room is not too dark. Usually used lamp types downlights to get flat lighting throughout the room.
2. Define activities that need more light
Try to analyze, parts or any area that is used to perform specific activities that require brighter light. Provide local lighting (task lighting) that leads to where we are running the event. In the bedroom, for example, we need a task lighting to illuminate the activities of reading, makeup, or even learned. In the kitchen, we need the local light to illuminate cooking, cutting, and so forth.
3. Take advantage of dimmers
With a dimmer, we can adjust the light overcast condition in accordance with our desires. In the bedroom, for example, when we were still awake, we need the bright lights. Whereas when we wanted to sleep, what we need is a dimly lit lamp. This can be overcome by using a dimmer on a downlight or on a desk lamp placed on a nightstand. Some designers even use light dimmers to adjust the composition so as to create the desired effect.
4. Provide a night light
In every area that we may skip the sleep hours should be provided that evening lights dim, whose function is simply to avoid these spaces into darkness, so a little difficult or even dangerous pass. Areas that need this light, among others, stairs and hall to the toilet.
5. Spread the point light
Rays originating from only one point will spread in all directions. As a result, the image will appear as well in all directions. Thus the space of course is not so comfortable. We recommend that in a single room large enough (larger than 6 mx 6 m) there is more than one source of light. Even if somewhat difficult to hold more than one light source, we can make a point of light is branched into several points of light. Of course for spaces which are relatively smaller as the foyer, put a single point of light is good enough.
6. Try indirect lighting
Ray sources, namely light bulbs, should not be seen immediately. That looks just shine or reflections or through intermediaries pendarannya frosted glass shades or other media that are spreading rays. This is certainly harmful in terms of brightness level lights. But the visible light directly in the room is sometimes very disturbing comfort and less unsightly eye because of light becomes very unevenly penyinarannya in space.
